Jerry McCullough Legacy Scholarship
Honoring A Legacy Of Service
Men Serving God is honored to introduce the Jerry McCullough Legacy Scholarship, created to support young men and women connected to Miracle League Arlington who are pursuing opportunities that help them grow, learn, and live with greater independence.
This scholarship celebrates the life and leadership of Jerry McCullough, Founder and President of Men Serving God. Jerry has spent a lifetime serving others through education, faith leadership, and community involvement. His heart for helping people reach their full potential is the inspiration behind this scholarship.
In partnership with Miracle League Arlington, Men Serving God will award four $1,000 scholarships in 2026 to deserving applicants.
About Jerry McCullough
Jerry McCullough served 43 years in the Arlington Independent School District, impacting thousands of students and educators. Over the course of his career, he served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, associate superintendent, deputy superintendent, and superintendent.
Early in his career Jerry coached football and track, with a special love for track and field.
Originally from Brownwood, Texas, Jerry is a graduate of Baylor University and the University of North Texas.
Beyond education, Jerry has faithfully served the church for many years as an Elder, including leadership roles at First Presbyterian Church and Central Bible Church in Arlington.
Today he continues to lead Men Serving God, while also supporting numerous nonprofit organizations and community initiatives wherever help is needed.
Purpose Of The Scholarship
Men Serving God, in partnership with Miracle League Arlington, established the Jerry McCullough Legacy Scholarship to support current or former Miracle League Arlington players who are pursuing opportunities that strengthen their education, life skills, and independence.
This scholarship reflects our shared belief that every individual deserves encouragement and support as they pursue their next step in life.

- College programs, two year or four year
- Trade or vocational schools
- Specialized education or life skills programs
- Assistive or adaptive learning devices
- Educational supports that promote independence

2026 Recipients
Alexander Grant Darr
Alexander is a 2026 graduate from Seguin High School in Arlington. Alexander started playing baseball on a Miracle League Team in Elementary and just completed 3 years of playing on a Miracle League Team since being in High School. Alexander has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome who is currently signed up for the 18 PLUSS program in Arlington ISD. Alexander also has aspirations of attend an adaptive college program. Alexander enjoys bowling, fishing going to church and youth camps, he is also a member of Young Life. Alexander is also involved in community service at Mission Arlington, and work in the community garden at his Grandfathers Church. Alexander will use the scholarship funds to purchase an ipad or Laptop, that will assist him in learning Spanish and doing research.
Christina Kim Hui
Christina is a 2026 graduate of Arlington High School. She has been a part of the Miracle League Team for 4 seasons. Christina is also a member of Special Olympics in Arlington ISD. Christina is an Autistic student, who was on the A honor roll all 4 years at Arlington High School. Christina's hobbies include playing Soccer, volleyball, basketball, bowling, reading, drawing, designing clothes and playing games. Christina has aspirations of attending a vocational or training program related to fashion design and creative Arts. Christina wants to improve her artistic and design skills while learning practical techniques for a future career in fashion design. The funds will be used to purchase an ipad, assist with school expenses and would help her to purchase art supplies.
