Serving the Community

At Men Serving God, we put faith into action by serving others. Beyond our church walls, we partner with organizations that uplift communities—mentoring youth, feeding families, supporting those in crisis, and offering hope to the homeless. We serve because Christ first served us.

The Dennis Brown Grant Fund

The Dennis Brown Grant Fund was established in memory of Dennis Brown, a faithful servant whose passion for helping others continues to shape the mission of Men Serving God. Funded through the annual MSG Golf Tournament, this grant provides financial support for local service projects, supplies, and nonprofit partners, ensuring MSG teams can make a meaningful impact where needed.

The Grant Fund helps remove financial barriers so our teams can focus on what matters most: serving God by serving others.

6 Stones A Catalyst of Hope

6 Stones serves our neighbors through ongoing activities and large events. The New Hope Center is our food pantry and clothing closet, open Monday and Wednesday from 10AM-1PM, Tuesday from 3-6PM and Saturday from 9AM-12PM.

There are opportunities for assisting with intake and praying for neighbors, warehouse work, grocery shopping and clothing. Momentum is a life mentoring program designed to enable neighbors to take steps out of physical and spiritual poverty. Mentors and mentees meet for 8 weekly in-class sessions and then continue for a 6 month period. Community Powered Revitalization restores the exteriors of homes for elderly, disabled and impoverished home owners during spring and fall blitz weekends.

Operation Back 2 School provides backpacks and school supplies for impoverished elementary and secondary students. Night of Hope gives Christmas gifts to impoverished elementary school students and their siblings. Liga HEB is a soccer league for middle school students, developing teamwork, attendance and character. There are also daily and weekly office volunteer slots available that support our programs.

In 2010, Sandy and Bud Mulcahy traveled to East Africa and were deeply moved by the daily struggles they witnessed in Kenya—especially the long, difficult journeys families made just to collect water. This experience sparked a calling, and the vision for Africa Water Wells (AWW) was born.

What began as a mission to provide clean water through boreholes has grown into a multifaceted ministry. Today, AWW supports communities by:

  • Installing rain catchment systems and clean water solutions
  • Providing laptops and educational materials to schools
  • Hosting pastors’ conferences to equip local leaders
  • Offering skills training for women to promote empowerment and sustainability
  • Partnering with The Bucket Ministry to share the Gospel alongside clean water

AWW exists to meet both practical and spiritual needs—bringing hope, health, and the love of Christ to the people of East Africa.

In 1979, Arlington Charities began with a handful of volunteers distributing food to those in need. The nonprofit’s mission and primary function are to lead the battle against hunger and poverty for Arlington residents and those living within the Arlington I.S.D. boundaries. We provide supplemental groceries Monday-Friday with our drive-through food distribution where clients receive fresh supplemental groceries. Food includes fresh fruit and produce, a variety of bakery items, meats and deli, dairy, pantry staples, canned goods and more. Recipients must make an appointment online or by calling 817-275-1511 to receive services.

We offer our senior clientele and those with mobility issues a grocery delivery program so that they could receive nutritious foods without having to choose between prescriptions or a healthy meal. Our case managers touch base with those enrolled in the program, not only to assess their needs but also to provide socialization.

Additionally, Arlington Charities also provides ‘to-go’ nourishment for our unsheltered population every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during lunchtime. In addition to ready to eat food, these individuals also receive hygiene products, clothing, and other essentials as needed.

It is with pride that we announce our newest recognition from the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce as their ‘2021 Non-Profit of the Year’. Arlington Charities is always in need of volunteers and would love for you to join our team of Hunger Heroes. We have other ways to give back as well. Ask about our sponsorship opportunities, and donation drives help keep food on the table to nourish your neighbors who need it most.

Born out of years of prayer and community outreach, Central Storehouse Ministries began as a food pantry ministry launched by Central Bible Church in the fall of 2020. At the height of the pandemic, East Fort Worth faced above-average food insecurity levels and few solutions. In response, the church created a ministry to meet practical needs and live out its mission of hope and service.

What started as a local outreach has grown into a thriving nonprofit. In spring 2024, Central Storehouse became a 501(c)(3) organization—still aligned with Central Bible Church but operating independently. Today, the ministry serves over 1,500 families monthly, offering more than just food. It’s a place of dignity, transformation, and Christ-centered care.

Our Mission: To meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational needs of our neighbors while walking alongside them in love.

Our Focus Areas

  • Food Insecurity: Providing groceries and nutrition to families in need
  • Holistic Health: Supporting physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being
  • Mentorship & Support Services: Offering hand-ups, not just handouts
  • Next Generation: Partnering with schools to engage and empower students in Fort Worth ISD

Our Values

  • Everyone Has Dignity: All are welcome, seen, and loved here
  • Relationships First: We offer more than a box—we offer belonging
  • Transformation Over Transaction: Relief with a path to lasting change
  • Hope for the Future: Investing in the next generation and their vision
  • Service Like Jesus: Humble, selfless, and without expectation

Who We Are
We are a neighbor-centered, hope-driven ministry equipping families to overcome food insecurity and poverty—because we believe in serving the whole person, not just their needs.

Coaches Outreach is a non-denominational, para-church ministry that exists to impact communities through the Christ-like leadership of coaches transformed by Biblical truth. Coaches make a difference in broken lives, so we partner with them to help make their impact even more powerful. A typical high school football coach will impact thousands of kids during their career. Coaches are on this mission, called by God, and strategically placed in schools to minister to kids in a way that few can. When the ministry began, coaches asked for help in two ways, “Help us stay strong in our marriages, and help us study the Bible.” God is using Coaches Outreach to do just that.

We equip coaches through relevant, “hands-on” Bible studies written just for coaches. The Bible study playbooks are FREE to coaches participating in a Coaches Outreach Bible Study at their school, and are also free to coaches’ spouses who request it.

We encourage coaches through Summer Marriage Retreats designed just for coaching couples. These weekend retreats feature respected Bible teachers, inspiring music, good food, fellowship with other coaching couples, and fun activities.

We also serve, encourage, and connect coaches’ wives through The Reach. At least three times each semester, hundreds of wives meet geographically in small groups to filter the season and everyday life through the Word of God.

CPTC believes that every child deserves a safe and happy childhood. CPTC accomplishes their mission through community collaboration, educational outreach, and fundraising efforts to sponsor the Rainbow Room located at the CPS office. By working closely with Tarrant County CPS, CPTC provides resources for items such as new clothing, diapers, formula, safe sleep furniture, specialized therapy and medical equipment to promote safety and improve outcomes for children. These are just a few of the ways CPTC helps to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families that are going through traumatic times.

Crisis Ministries assists individuals and families in crisis by meeting many of their physical and spiritual needs. We are a 100% volunteer organization serving Irving for over 25 years. Our ministry-owned facility is located in Irving’s Heritage District. Your dollars directly support the work we do each day. No hidden salaries since we are 100% volunteer managed and operated. We provide food, hygiene, baby products and other essential items to individuals and families. We provide road warriors with food, hygiene and basic needs 5 days a week and can provide emergency shelter assistance in extreme weather. We do need men at the ministry who can do lifting and other things. We also have a need for drivers to pick up product at local Irving stores and elsewhere.

H.O.P.E. began in September of 1996 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church because the congregation wanted to help the children in the neighborhood. H.O.P.E. soon became a non-profit agency and a community-wide organization. Since then, we have served thousands of economically disadvantaged students in the Arlington area.

We seek to empower Arlington’s 3rd-8th graders to reach their full academic potential through free, individualized tutoring in order to strengthen students’ academic foundations now, so they can achieve better life outcomes later. The services provided by H.O.P.E. Tutoring Center, Inc. is made possible in part through a Community Development Block Grant from the City of Arlington through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The way men can help with our organization is by becoming a tutor to our students. By encouraging, motivating, and inspiring both our young men and women; they will build their confidence in both the classroom and out.

International Students Incorporated (ISI) seeks to help international students develop Christian friendships while they are in the U.S. and share the love of Jesus as we serve and help students adapt to American culture.

Our Mission—Students are separated from family and friends, often feel lonely and isolated and are unsure about how to relate to America’s culture and its people. Sadly, many international students are never invited into an American home. Many miss the opportunity to have an American friend. ISI exists to provide community and family to International students.

During the year, ISI hosts many events for International students such as Big Howdy , Thanksgiving Feasts and Tejas. These events expose students to American culture and give volunteers an opportunity to meet students. You can provide food for these events and attend and meet some amazing students. ISI also has a Friendship Partner program where students and Americans are matched and can meet together as often as possible. It is a way of offering “family” to students while they are away from home.

Midwest Food Bank exists to share the love of Christ by alleviating hunger, addressing malnutrition, and providing disaster relief. What began in 2003 as a small act of faith on an Illinois farm has grown into a global movement of generosity and service.

Today, Midwest Food Bank distributes nearly 34 million dollars’ worth of food each month to over 2,200 nonprofit partners. With twelve locations across the United States, East Africa, and Haiti, our reach continues to expand, powered by the compassion of volunteers and the faithfulness of God.

Our Mission: To share the love of Christ by alleviating hunger and malnutrition and providing disaster relief.

Our Vision: To serve those in need with excellence, offering both physical and spiritual nourishment.

Volunteer-Driven Impact
Midwest Food Bank is built on volunteer service. In 2022 alone, more than 30,000 volunteers contributed over 350,000 hours to help collect, sort, pack, and distribute food. Their dedication allows us to keep administrative costs low while maximizing our impact. Every volunteer becomes part of the solution to food insecurity, both locally and globally.

Disaster Relief in Action
Since responding to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Midwest Food Bank has become a trusted front-line partner in disaster response. Our fleet of trucks and network of volunteer drivers allow us to mobilize quickly. In partnership with organizations like The Salvation Army, we can deliver food boxes within 24 hours of a disaster request. Each box contains enough food to feed a family of four for four to five days.

Looking Ahead
With a strong foundation, a growing network of partners, and a clear purpose, Midwest Food Bank is prepared to meet the rising demand for food and disaster relief. We are expanding our reach, deepening our impact, and continuing to bridge the gap between poverty and prosperity.

If you feel called to serve, we invite you to join us. Together, we can bring help and hope to those who need it most.

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.”
Proverbs 19:17

The mission of the Miracle League DFW is to provide children and young adults the opportunity to play baseball regardless of their abilities and to promote community support and sponsorship of our organization. The players make every game special, but it’s the people who offer their time and friendship that make it possible. Players are paired with a “Buddy” who helps them on and off the field. Buddies can be parents, students, athletes, business leaders, or any individuals or groups wishing to volunteer their time. We also need volunteer game day announcers and volunteers to help manage our new miracle league player parking lot. Please contact us through our website for more information.

Mission Arlington is a Christian based organization working with those in need in our city. *

Servant Leadership—Matthew 23:10 reminds us that we should not be called leaders, for our One true leader is Jesus Christ. God is responsible for all that has happened in and through this place, and we give Him all credit. Luke 22:26 teaches us that an effective leader will first be a servant. Our heart and our hope is to lead well, without fear, but always in the spirit of service and humility.

A Dedication to Prayer—Scripture teaches us to pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17). We are to be faithful both “in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2). This family called Mission Arlington®/Mission Metroplex® believes in and is committed to the power of prayer. Ministry without connection to God, no matter how intense the effort, won’t be effective or fruitful over time.

Meeting Physical Needs in Jesus’ Name—Matthew 25:37ff teaches us that there is a connection between the physical and the spiritual, and that caring for people who are hurting is important to our Lord. Mission Arlington®/Mission Metroplex® wants to meet the physical needs of people wherever and whenever possible. But the greatest gift we have to offer is the free gift of God’s love for each one through His son in Jesus Christ (John 3:16).

The Bible as a Foundation For Ministry—We believe that the Scriptures are inspired by God and are profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). We love the Lord and His word. Today we host Bible studies in about 354 locations around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Love For All People—When the angels announced the news of Jesus’ birth to the Shepherds, they proclaimed clearly that the gospel was good news for “all people” (Luke 2:10). Each and every person matters to God. No person is beyond the reach of His love. The truth is that we have been recipients of that love. It is our joy to pass it along to each one who comes along our path.

The ministries at Mission Arlington®/Mission Metroplex® continue to evolve in response to the needs of our community.

re minstry

Re_Ministry exists to reaffirm and restore young men to their God-given identity and purpose. We create a safe, Christ-centered space where high school boys are taught, equipped, and challenged to grow in their faith and character as they learn to follow Jesus.

The vision for Re_Ministry began long before it had a name. Founder Gena Chaucer had a deep God-given burden for boys long before raising her own three sons. Over the course of a decade, through countless moments of prayer and service, the vision began to take shape. In the spring of 2020, Gena knew she could no longer ignore the call. Stepping out in faith that summer, she launched Re_Ministry—trusting God to guide every next step.

Our Mission: To teach, equip, and disciple high school boys to become more like Christ as they grow in truth, identity, and purpose.

Our Name
RE: again
To return something to its original, intended design.
To reaffirm young men as they learn to thrive in today’s world and become more like Christ.

Our Beliefs
We affirm the foundational truths of the Christian faith as expressed in the Nicene Creed. While much can divide, we stand in unity on what matters most: the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Our Values

  • Authority: We believe the Bible is the inspired and trustworthy Word of God, the final authority in all matters.
  • The Church: We affirm the role of the universal Church, expressed through local communities, as the primary way we worship and live out our faith.
  • Authenticity: We encourage honest conversations. Our spaces are built for truth, confession, questions, and growth.
  • Humility: We seek to know God more deeply and respond in awe of His greatness.
  • Honoring: We respect and value those who came before us. We honor one another across ages and denominations.
  • Christ-Centered: Jesus is at the center of everything we do. His life, death, and resurrection are the foundation for all truth and transformation.

Re_Ministry is more than a program—it is a calling to invest in the next generation of godly men with grace, truth, and unwavering purpose.

Our key initiative is to educate the next generation of environmental stewards using the resources of River Legacy Park and River Legacy Living Science Center. Starting with children as young as 3 years old, our environmental education programs expose children to the wonders of nature and their place in it. Through education, we preserve the Trinity and its unique eco-system. pages!

At SafeHaven, we start by believing. If you reach out, know that you are not alone. We are here to listen, support, and walk with you—wherever you are in your journey. Whether you seek safety, resources, or justice, our team is committed to helping you move forward safely.

SafeHaven is the only state-designated family violence center in Tarrant County. For more than 45 years, we have provided emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, legal aid, and support services for survivors and their children. All of our services are entirely free and available 24 hours a day.

We understand that leaving an abusive relationship is a process. Survivors may attempt to leave multiple times before it becomes final. At SafeHaven, there is no judgment. You do not need to end your relationship to access help. We are here every step of the way, offering care, options, and unwavering support.

Our Mission: To end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention, and accountability.

Our Approach
SafeHaven provides a comprehensive continuum of care:

  • 24-hour emergency shelter
  • Transitional housing with subsidized rent
  • Counseling for survivors and children
  • Case management and legal support
  • Community-based outreach and prevention education

Our Two-Fold Focus

  1. Keep victims and their families safe
  2. Hold offenders accountable

We also work to create lasting change. Our Prevention Team educates students in Tarrant County schools to stop violence before it starts. Our Partner Abuse Intervention and Prevention Program works with offenders to promote accountability and eliminate violence in relationships.

Our History
SafeHaven was founded in 2006 through the merger of two longstanding agencies: The Women’s Haven in Fort Worth and The Women’s Shelter in Arlington. Since 1976, we have been a lifeline for families in crisis, and our commitment has never wavered.

Our Vision: To create a future where every woman in Tarrant County feels safe in her relationship, her home, and her community.

The Salvation Army has been serving those in need since 1865 when it was founded by William and Catherine Booth. Our church has a passion to help people who ended up on the margins of life. We believe that serving the lost and the least is the epitome of the ministry of Jesus. The mission statement of The Salvation Army says that: “Our mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His Name without discrimination.” In the Arlington/Mansfield corps of The Salvation Army we strive daily to do the most good through: Character Building programs, taking place on Wednesday nights. We always need volunteers to assist us in classrooms while teaching, on field trips and throughout the year for various activities. Our food pantry operates on Thursdays and throughout the day as well as the week we need volunteers to help us with preparing food bags, and their distribution. Our fundraising campaign is called the Red Kettle Campaign. It provides 25% of our year revenue. November 1st through December 24th we are always in a desperate need of volunteers who could bell ring for us at the assigned location helping us raise funds for those in need. One can save lives simply through ringing the bell. On the average an hour of Bellringing can raise money for 35 hot meals. No skills necessary, no certification needed to help those who are struggling!

Our soup kitchen is feeding program for a homeless population. Every Saturday we prep meals for 50 people and serve them in the afternoon, in the post COVID time we will be providing showers as well. We need volunteers who can help us cook, serve meals, and clean up after the service.

We are providing services to the senior population during our Friday morning senior club meetings and we need volunteers as well to assist us with that and to help us plan these meetings. The meetings take place 10 am – 12:30 pm.

Help us do the most good and be the hands of Jesus in this world!

Sixty & Better is where healthy aging begins. For more than 50 years, we have empowered older adults to live with purpose, independence, and joy. Founded in 1967 as Senior Citizen Services, our organization was created in response to the Older Americans Act of 1965. Since then, we have remained a trusted resource for helping older adults stay active, connected, and well.

Today, Sixty & Better is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization offering innovative programs and services that support the physical, mental, and social well-being of older adults across Tarrant County. While we no longer operate senior centers or meal services, our commitment to ending senior isolation and promoting vibrant aging has never wavered.

Our Mission: To empower older adults to become and remain healthy, active, and engaged in their communities.

Our Vision: A world where older adults are healthy, safe, and active participants in community life.

Our Story
Sixty & Better was shaped by the dedication of community leaders like Evelyn Siegel, Rosalyn Rosenthal, and the National Council of Jewish Women, who opened the first senior center to create a welcoming space for older adults to connect, learn, and thrive.

In the 1970s, meal programs were added to enhance health and community connection. By 2016, nearly 40 centers were offering food service and enrichment activities. In 2020, due to the impact of COVID-19, Sixty & Better transitioned its center operations to Meals on Wheels. This moment became a turning point for our organization, opening the door for new ways to serve.

Our Work Today
Staying true to our mission, we continue to design classes and programs that meet the evolving needs of older adults. From wellness education to social connection and volunteer opportunities, our goal is to ensure every older adult in Tarrant County has the resources and encouragement to age with dignity and purpose.

We believe healthy aging is possible at every stage of life—and we are here to make it a reality.

taste project

Taste Project is a nonprofit organization with a simple mission: to feed people one community at a time. In a country where one in six Americans faces food insecurity, many still fall through the cracks. In Tarrant County alone, more than a third of food-insecure individuals do not qualify for government assistance. Taste Project exists to stand in that gap.

We believe everyone deserves access to healthy, nutritious food served with dignity. Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so that all may taste and see that the Lord is good.

Our Vision: To see our community become the solution to hunger through shared responsibility, generosity, and hope.

How We Serve
Our first initiative is a nonprofit restaurant that serves high-quality meals made from fresh ingredients. There are no prices on the menu. Instead, guests are invited to:

  • Pay what they can afford
  • Pay what they would typically pay
  • Pay what they would typically pay and help cover someone else’s meal

This model creates a welcoming space where everyone belongs—regardless of their ability to pay.

Our Story
Founder Jeff Williams knows what it feels like to live with food insecurity. Growing up in a working-class family, he watched his parents skip meals to make sure he and his sister had enough to eat. He also knows that traditional food relief often comes with barriers and shame.

In 2012, Jeff launched the Taste Project to create a sustainable solution to hunger. His vision was not just to fill stomachs but to restore dignity. He dreamed of a warm and welcoming place that felt like home—a place where every meal offers not just nourishment, but hope.

Taste Project is more than a restaurant. It is a community-driven movement where food meets compassion and everyone has a seat at the table.

Our foundation is based upon a strong belief system. We believe in sharing and showing love. We believe in promoting healthy child development through access to play days that include sports and free play. We believe in connecting resources to families that are seeking support. We strive to encourage people to be successful and resilient and create life-long relationships.

Connecting resources for healthier kids and families. There is a tremendous opportunity to affect change in our community by focusing on creating trust and building relationships in communities that are underserved. Our goal is to work with community leaders, advocates, churches and nonprofit organizations to bring fun and needed resources to our neighbors. We will continue to expand outreach services by inviting Affiliate Partners to serve alongside us. Serving multiple communities in Tarrant County through partnerships and a shared mission to bring Love, Play and Connection to the people.
