Faithful in the Word. Steady in Service.
Philip “Phil” Stoecker was born in Phillips, a small town in northern Wisconsin. One of his earliest and most meaningful memories is sitting and listening as his father read the Bible. That simple, faithful act left a lasting impression and helped shape the course of Phil’s life. From a young age, he developed a deep respect for God’s Word, a commitment that has remained steady for decades.
Today, Phil continues to live out that foundation. Scripture is not just something he reads; it is something he lives by. He begins and ends each day with quiet reflection and prayer, grounding himself in God’s truth. Through seasons of growth, challenge, success, and transition, his faith has remained a constant anchor.
A Life of Discipline and Leadership
Phil’s journey into adulthood included four years of service in the United States Army. That experience helped shape his discipline, resilience, and sense of responsibility, qualities that would carry into every area of his life.
After completing his military service, Phil began a career in sales with Western and Southern Insurance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His leadership ability and work ethic quickly became evident as he rose to the role of staff manager. Seeking new opportunities, he transitioned into pharmaceutical sales with Reed and Carnrick, where his career continued to grow.
Phil served as District Sales Manager in Ohio, then as Regional Sales Manager in Texas, and later as National Sales Manager at the company’s headquarters in New Jersey. Each step reflected not only professional growth but also his ability to lead people, build trust, and stay consistent in his values.
Building a Legacy Through Work
After years in corporate leadership, Phil stepped out to start his own business, PMS Tax Consultants. What began as a single venture grew into a nationwide tax consulting firm serving corporate clients across the country.
For more than 40 years, Phil faithfully served his clients with integrity and dedication. His business was built not just on expertise but on relationships, trust, and consistency. Even as the company expanded, Phil remained focused on doing the work the right way and serving people well.
He continued working with clients until his retirement in 2024, closing a long and fruitful chapter marked by perseverance and stewardship.
Rooted in Church and Community
Throughout his life, Phil has remained committed to serving in the local church. He is currently a member of Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, where he serves as an usher. In this role, he helps create a welcoming environment for others, a simple but meaningful way to serve week after week.
Previously, Phil attended Park Springs Bible Church, where he served as a deacon. That season of leadership allowed him to support the church body in deeper ways, providing guidance, care, and spiritual support.
Whether serving in visible leadership or quiet roles behind the scenes, Phil has demonstrated a consistent willingness to serve wherever needed.
Serving Through Men Serving God and Community
In this season of life, Phil continues to live out his faith through service in both his church and the Arlington community. He is a member of Pleasantview Baptist Church, where he serves as an usher, faithfully welcoming others each week. He previously served as a deacon at Park Springs Bible Church, investing in the spiritual health of the congregation.
Phil is also actively involved with Men Serving God, where he is a member of the Bear Team. Through this team and other opportunities, he has stepped into hands-on service across the community.
His involvement includes:
- Participating in food drives for Arlington Charities
- Volunteering at the Taste Project
- Serving at the Central Storehouse
- Attending Men Serving God breakfasts and connecting with other men committed to serving
These opportunities reflect Phil’s desire to stay engaged, build relationships, and serve where there is a need.
A Life Marked by Faithfulness
As Phil reflects on his life, one theme rises above all others, gratitude. He recognizes that every opportunity, every success, and every season has been shaped by God’s hand.
He shares this simple but powerful truth:
“The Lord has blessed me in my working years far beyond anything that I could ever have dreamed of in my lifetime.”
Phil Stoecker’s story is not defined by titles or accomplishments alone but by steady faithfulness. It is a life rooted in God’s Word, lived with discipline, and expressed through consistent service.
His journey reminds us that when a man stays grounded in Scripture and committed to serving others, God can use every chapter for His glory.
