Faithful Through Service and Community
Rich Frazier was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and raised in a strong Roman Catholic family rooted in faith, service, and community. Growing up as one of nine children, church life was woven into everyday life for the Frazier family. His parents faithfully served in many ways and modeled what it looked like to live out their faith through action.
Rich remembers his father serving as an usher at church while also volunteering with the Knights of Columbus and helping in the bookkeeping department after the children were grown. His mother faithfully served through the church food pantry and even cared for the priests’ dogs whenever they traveled out of town. Those examples of quiet, consistent service left a lasting impression on Rich and helped shape the way he approaches life today.
Building a Life in Texas
In 1976, Rich moved to Texas and began building both a life and a business. Over the next 47 years, he worked faithfully in his profession before eventually retiring. Through every season, he remained committed to his faith, his family, and serving others in practical ways.
Rich has long been involved with St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Arlington, where he serves through the Men’s Club and continues building relationships within the church community.
Serving Others With Joy
One of the ministries closest to Rich’s heart is Meals on Wheels, where he helps deliver meals to homebound individuals throughout the community. More than simply delivering food, Rich treasures the relationships that come from those visits.
He shares that one of the greatest blessings is seeing the smiles on the faces of the people he serves and taking time to interact with them. Those simple moments of connection remind him how meaningful it can be to show up consistently for others.
Rich also volunteers with Men Serving God and serves alongside fellow volunteers during the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, helping count donations collected throughout the Christmas season. In addition, he is a member of Jerry McCullough’s Bear Team, stepping in to help meet practical needs throughout the Arlington community whenever requests arise.
Whether delivering meals, supporting nonprofits, or serving behind the scenes, Rich approaches every opportunity with humility and gratitude.
A Life Blessed Through Service
Reflecting on his journey, Rich sees the hand of God throughout every chapter of his life. From the example set by his parents to the many opportunities to serve today, he considers it a blessing to be surrounded by faithful people who care deeply for others.
“It has been a blessing for me to be associated with all this in my life and to meet so many good people.”
Rich Frazier’s story is a reminder that faithful service does not always happen on a stage or in the spotlight. Often, it happens through everyday acts of kindness, consistency, and willingness to serve wherever there is a need.
Through his church, Men Serving God, and the Arlington community, Rich continues to live out a life marked by compassion, humility, and service.
