Craig Porter has dedicated much of his life to advancing the Gospel through missions, church leadership, discipleship, and service. Whether serving in his local community, supporting global ministry efforts, or investing in the next generation, Craig’s desire has always been to see lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ.

Together with his wife, Jamey, and their six children, Craig has built a life centered on faith, family, and ministry. Over the years, the Porter family has been actively involved in numerous outreach efforts, demonstrating a commitment to serving both locally and around the world.

A Family Committed to Missions

One of the most significant ministry commitments for the Porter family has been their partnership with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) San Diego/Baja. Several times each year, Craig and his family travel to Mexico to serve alongside local churches and ministry leaders.

Through these mission trips, they have helped build approximately 40 to 50 homes for families in need. Beyond construction projects, these trips create opportunities to share the love of Christ, encourage local believers, and support long-term community development efforts. For Craig, missions are about more than meeting physical needs. They are about building relationships, strengthening communities, and helping people experience the hope found in the Gospel.

Leading Through Service

Craig’s passion for ministry extends beyond mission trips. Throughout the years, he has served in numerous leadership roles that have helped strengthen organizations dedicated to sharing Christ around the world.

He served on the Board of Directors for YWAM San Diego/Baja from 2007 to 2013 and later on the Board of Directors for YWAM Colorado Springs from 2016 to 2020. Today, he continues his involvement as a member of the Board of Directors for YWAM San Diego/Baja.

Closer to home, Craig recently completed his second six-year term on the Board of Elders at Central Bible Church. During his years of service, he played an active role in church leadership, discipleship initiatives, outreach programs, and helping guide the spiritual direction of the congregation.

Supporting Global Kingdom Work

Craig’s commitment to advancing the Gospel has also led him to support Bible translation and church planting efforts around the world.

Through Seed Company, Craig and his family have helped support projects that make Scripture available to people groups who have never had access to God’s Word in their own language. He has also served on the board of WorldLink Ministries, a church-planting organization that has helped establish more than 10,000 churches in Cuba while expanding ministry efforts into multiple countries.

In addition, Craig has participated in mission and vision trips with Mission of Hope and supports the ministry of Young Life Arlington, investing in opportunities that help people encounter Christ and grow in their faith.

Serving the Local Community

While global missions have been an important part of Craig’s journey, he is equally passionate about serving locally. Through both personal volunteer efforts and corporate outreach initiatives, Craig has supported organizations such as Central Storehouse and Feed My Starving Children.

These opportunities have allowed him to help meet practical needs while demonstrating Christ’s love through action. Whether serving families facing food insecurity or partnering with organizations that provide hope and support, Craig believes every act of service can point people toward Christ.

Faith in Business

In addition to his ministry involvement, Craig has built a successful professional career grounded in leadership and stewardship.

In 2010, he and Jamey co-founded Cornerstone Pediatric Therapy, a company dedicated to helping children and families thrive. Prior to launching Cornerstone, Craig worked with Ancor Capital Partners, serving in operational and board leadership roles across several portfolio companies. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment management and hedge fund operations with the Hunt investment group.

Craig graduated cum laude from Austin College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and later earned an MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business, graduating first in his class.

A Life Focused on Eternal Impact

Today, Craig and Jamey reside in Pantego, Texas, where they continue investing in their family, church, local community, and global missions efforts.

Whether helping build homes in Mexico, supporting Bible translation projects, serving in church leadership, or volunteering in the community, Craig’s life reflects a simple but powerful commitment: using every opportunity God provides to advance the Gospel and serve others.

His story is a reminder that faithfulness is not limited to one mission field. Sometimes it looks like serving across the world. Sometimes it looks like serving across the street. In every setting, Craig continues to point others toward Christ through leadership, generosity, and a heart for service.
